Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is pleased to announce that Brenda Aguilar-Guerrero joined the firm Eminent Domain and Reverse Condemnation practice group as a partner. Aguilar-Guerrero has represented public entities on complex eminent domain and reverse conviction matters for over 25 years and has assisted clients with large, complex, multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects requiring hundreds of acquisitions, as well than smaller scale projects throughout California for a variety of clients. Prior to joining Burke, Aguilar-Guerrero served as chair of a statewide eminent domain and reverse conviction practice group at her previous law firm. She is based in Burke’s office in Oakland. Burke managing partner John J. Welsh noted that Aguilar-Guerrero “is a highly accomplished practitioner who will add significantly to Burke’s established and ever-growing role in eminent domains and reverse conviction law matters throughout California.”
